Dogs show their confidence with their tails. Some of these dogs are a bit uncertain as they have not run this trail before or because there was truck traffic passing nearby. One man in a truck stopped to take some photos of the team. Someone said to me yesterday, "Boy, you people do EVERY thing up here!", meaning including running sled dogs, I guess. We ran 7 miles today and plan to go to Michigan tomorrow with two separate ten dog teams... that will be an eight mile run. Stella will get her first run to Michigan and her first chance to cross a bridge over the river.
